I’ve been thinking of a way to both hide and limit noise from the DOS doing auto water changes. I can even hear it when I had it out under the covered patio.

I have a straight shot from behind the tank to my attic and can run lines down to the water storage tank from the attic to the patio as I have cat 5 already going out there.

My question is how hot is too hot for the DOS to operate in ambient temp wise? Attics in Texas get quite hot during the summer months. Perhaps 120-125f up there.

Would that impact life expectancy or operation of the DOS?

Any thought?

Thanks.

I suspect that would be problematic. As for the noise, look into mounting them on silicone pads. It may or may not be enough but can help.
