Whats the best way to use eggcrate for frag racks? I've made them before super glueing them to PVC, but it didn't last very long. Some large ones for fragging and some smaller for in the tank. I have lots left over.

Saw these at Shedd aquarium

I went cheap with mine and used suction cups attached To the bottom glass. Cut some acrylic tubes to add height and siliconed the three together. Have no pictures as took apart awhile ago.

I have primarily used zip ties to connect egg crate to PVC or egg crate to egg crate. 3D printed egg crate suppers are also an option.

Zip ties for me too. I run the ties through the pipe & around the egg crate for short legs & drill a hole straight through both walls of the PVC pipe for long legs.

Were you looking for on the bottom frag racks or something attached to the side of the tank?

Bottom of the tank. Also just racks in general to place corals to dry while fragging. I'd like a few really small ones to hold maybe 2 frags in the sand bed. These will be out in my display tank, so id like them to look nice as possible.

Get a dremmel tool with a flat saw piece. Use it to cut a cross or + in the pvc tubes that the egg crate can sit in. that way it not permenent

Interesting. Do you have pictures of examples of this?

No sorry. I saw an example on fb of one that someone 3d printed legs similar to this. Going to be making some up myself this weekend. Just need a new dremmel blade. Can post pix then.

Your in luck, I made some yesterday. I use the hole to zip tie the leg to the egg crate for a semi-permanent attachment.

Very nice! Much cleaner than mine. Is that 1/2”? How long are those? Do you have any stability issues at that height?

They're 1/2 x 6" & are a little wobbly, so I'm using an additional leg in the center for stability. I prefer 3/4 or 1" but I had a bunch of extra 1/2".

Those are super clean - I’m tempted to redo some of mine that way, but will probably stay to a height of 1.5” to 2” (which works in my setup).
