Hi all, I've been planning this for some time and decided to take a simple approach that fits my needs. I have two tanks upstairs and got tired of mixing water in my office on that floor in the Brut cans. So here is what I put together and it's been up and running.
RODI can go to either 32 gallon container by flipping a valve. Each one has the mechanical shutoff when it fills.
In case that fails and somehow water overflows, there are pans to catch the water and send it to my sump via gravity.
Fresh water is on the top and salt water on the bottom. The pictures I post have the station in a temporary location while working on the basement. Instead of using the pump to mix water, I decided to only use it to move water upstairs. The saltwater container has two power heads and a heater (one shallow and one half way up the container.
Power is provided by a strip with individual switches for each outlet.
I mounted the TDS monitor on the front, along with my hose and spare parts for the pump so I don't forget there are there .
I also connected a wireless outlet that I can control from my phone or Alexa when upstairs. As a backup the hose has a shut off at that end. To avoid accidental operation, I can manually turn off the outlet providing power to the wireless outlet.
I also have unions so I can remove each can for cleaning and the pump for service.
Plenty of places to hang tools and parts.
Thanks for checking it out. I wanted to share the details and things. I would not recommend the pump I currently have. Fixed it recently but if it fails, I will upgrade to a nice pump like an Iwaki or something on that level with better head pressure. This one is ok but that upgrade may be in the near future!
