Looks like skin irritation from either pick or water quality. I can see image but not video
@Jay Hemdal may be able to open it up

That looks to be an injury with a secondary infection. The fish is not swimming normally. Is it getting worse, staying the same or getting better. Is it only on one side?

Thank you- now I see it
This is a bacterial infection likely from injury or bite. They do startle easily
This will require immediate treatment in sterile quarantine tank with seachem kanaplex or tri-sulfa
Add aeration and maintain clean water during treatment

I don’t really have a separate tank ATM to use. I have a plastic hang on thing I could use super temporarily…

May be insufficient- what are dimensions?
Options are:
-Second hand store like goodwill
- Walmart starter kit
- craigslist
- plastic Rubbermaid tub

I agree with @vetteguy53081 This requires immediate treatment - and has the potential for significant worsening. A hang on thing (I think you mean an acclimation box??) will not work. I suppose in a pinch you could use reef rally pro which has some antibacterial components, but may not be enough.

Seems like If you used your tank water, it would be less stressful - and you get a 'free' water change.

Ok 20g QT setup and just waiting for it to warm up … already have some kana.

Question though - why not just through some kana in with some garlic guard with their food in the DT? Seems less traumatic on foxface than moving him into a new QT take his not familiar with.

First. If the fish is not eating, one doesn't know exactly what dose they are getting - or if they are overeating, etc etc. Second - the lesion Is on the skin - and probably - the best way to attack is in the water - and realize also that fish will take in antibiotics internally when 'breathing'. the reason kanamycin and neomycin are not used much anymore (nor their relatives) - is that they can be toxic. In humans they are not absorbed orally. I would use the 'in the water' method:)

Most bite marks heal better in low stress environments.
I agree with you.

Garlic is an immune system booster and not remedy. As for clean water, you are avoiding any possibility of foreign bodies in the water affecting the the would. If tank is fish only, you can treat direct but unfamiliar tank does not impose stress and with all the persons out there utilizing quarantine systems, stress is often not a factor- disease itself is

We are talking about Kanaplex though right?
kanaplex is kanamycin - though Its some sort of blend. In any case, the same conclusion (IMHO) is warranted - which is - dosing through feeding it not a good idea
