Here it is a little tank made for the only living fish that survived, an ocellaris clown from my old 120g sps tank that was taken down 3 years ago, after I moved from that location, there were 3 fish left, a sailfin tang, a pigmy angel and this ocellaris, they got feed about once a week (I sold or gave away a lot of fish and corals before I moved, but those were my 3 favorites), the tang disappeared about 2 years ago and the pigmy about a year ago so I bought this 10 gallon when it was for sale with the stand for him, and this is what I got in so far:

Tank: $50 (aqueon combo waist of money)
Stand: $80
Salt: had Reef Crystals (old about 5 years old that started the tank with, bought about 3 months ago Red Sea Coral for $45)
Nicrew 30w light: $75
Hygger mini wave maker: $75
Macro 50 Protein Skimmer: $50
Tidal 35: $40
ATO (upside down bottle): $10
Carib Sea sand: $20
Live Rock: Free got around 100 pounds still running in the 120 for about 10 or 12 years
Gonipower food: $15
Reef Roids: $15
Frozen food (marine cuisine, misys): $20
Carbon: Had old stock
Kalwasser: Have but not started dosing, old stock
Lid: $10 (glass)
Chemi Pure: $10 have not use it jet
RO/DI small one: $70
Thermometer: $15
Floss pad: $10
Magnetic scraper: $10
Lots of things that had laying around, buckets, live rock, hoses, refractometer, strip outlets, etc.

Sure missed a couple of things.

About $600 in equipment, stupid me (jk, I know the hobby back when 250 metal halides and vho actinic was the norm)

Tank was started in the middle of January.

Livestock:
Coral banded shrimp: $10
Emerald crab: 2x $5
Blue and red leg hermits: 10x $5
Turbo snails: 3x $15
Have plenty of micro fauna (sponges, roids, worms, etc.)

Fish:
Ocillaris (very small one): $10
Pigmy angel (favorite fish): $40
Six line wrasse: $20 (killed himself, jump no lid fixed that)

Corals:
Red monti: $15 has grown about 4x
Pali green: $10
Pali brown with yellow polips: $15
Kenia tree: $15 now I have 5
GSP nice color metallic: $15 have grown 6x easily
Yuma mushroom 2: $30 new have more than 10
Purple mushrooms 2: $20 have around 6 or 7
Green mushrooms 6: $20 maybe 2 or 3 more
Green hairy mushrooms 2: $20 now 1 more
Duncan: $15 bought one head about 3 weeks ago
Zoas green: $10 killed almost all of them using kalkwaser to kill aptasia
Zoas red: $10
Zoas green yellow: $15
Zoas red: $30
Acro green: $15
Acro blue: $15
Acro blue: $25
Acro red: $20
Acro brown: $20
Bird nest: free
Gonipora: $20 bleached almost killed
Acan: $30 died bleached
Red encrusting coral: $15

Around $500 or a little more.

Everything doing great, the temp stays between 76 and 79 (air conditioning, no chiller), do 2 gallon water changes weekly (that’s why I do not dose), change floss once a week, feed 2 times a week, each feeding half a cube of mysys with some reef roids. The nicrew 30w is on it’s timer for 12 hours with ramp up and down whites at 40% and blues at 100%, tidal 35 used only for surface skimming, with a bag of carbon and some algae (free), got the protein skimmer skiming a little wet.

Coraline growing in the rocks and filters, had not ck any parameters, have not tested anything always have used my eyes for that, one little problem is I have some red planaria, yes I do not dip, that I try to simphon out every week with the water change.

So that’s why a little Ocellaris cost me $1000 dollars!

Any questions feel free to ask, wish I had pics of the old 120 it was great, I think there is a video on YouTube of the 30 to 60 I did about 18 years ago, then about 12 was the change from the 60 to the 120. Great hobby, and remember only need stability and you can grow anything!
