Amazing. I added a few tiny baby bisstleworms from ipsf first week in Jan. This is about 50x the size. Although could have been a hitchhiker on some live rockJust bristleworm. I wouldn’t worry about it
I've got two that size in a 13.5 gal tank. Kinda cool to catch them out at night when its feeding timei do over feed slightly, but not to epic proportions. This was nuts when this thing popped out- wasn’t expecting them to get this big.
I do have Melanurus wrasse, but he goes to sleep after 5:30 most days
It’s a fire worm. You can literally see the red tufts of spines in the last pic. Bristleworms don’t look like that and don’t have a flat body with red tufts like that.I'd remove it, because it's so big

NopeThat doesn’t look like a bristleworm. It’s a fire worm. You notice the body is more flat, and the the spines has tufts of red? Really bad. One of those took a bite out of a lyretail anthia in a 40 breeder with my fish and corals when my display was about to pop. It was hiding in zoas.
Again. This isn’t a normal bristleworm.
Edit: to all those above me. Please don’t comment if you aren’t 100% sure. You can literally see the red doom on it in the last pic.
Is that a nope that it’s not a bistleworm, or nope that it’s not a firewormNope
Looks like a peaceful pink bristleworm to me. Leave it or remove it, your choice. I have many in my tank and view them as a necessary part of my little ecosystem. Is that a nope that it’s not a bistleworm, or nope that it’s not a fireworm
Look at vetteguy’s reply. Is that a nope that it’s not a bistleworm, or nope that it’s not a fireworm
Tag vetteguy. I don’t know how to do it. This is not a run of the mill bristleworm. You can see the red. Regular bristleworms do not have these. It is an everyday, run of the mill bristleworm. NOT a fireworm.
