I have the rainbow aussies and mine haven't changed colors yet. It's actually brighter now. It's been over a month and i have it under 250MH.

I had this one too close to the lights. It lost some color, but it is regaining its color.

It has definitely gotten darker now that I moved it to the bottom of the tank. I'll post some updated shots as it changes back. I don't thin they like a lot of light.

IME, all lords I've owned don't like being exposed to too much light... all of mine are moved on the sand bed... having an 18" deep tank does not help.. LoLz...

let's all help each other out with placement experimentation... let's keep chronological bi-weekly pics of different colored Aussies... personally, I love all the Rainbows and Oranges so I'll be focusing my attention to those guys..

Steve, awesome shots man.. pls keep us posted... I hope they keep their colors man... those are absolutely gorgeous...

Chris, I hope the Orange comes back on that piece... :)

I've got all of mine pretty high up in an overskimmed (yet allows HA to grow) tank. I'm running 250W DE 14K Phoenix's with VHO's and have them on average around 8" from the water level. I've noticed more good changes than bad. One went from brown to pink (and not an unhealthy pink). The other changes have been much more muted than that, but the colors in the change are really starting to look nice. I have noticed some of my frags have changed color since being moved to the bottom of the tank (mother colonies are still coloring up in most cases). I'll try to get more documentation (i.e. pics;)).
