I think these are normal bristle worms.

I also know I have a ton of them in my tank.
I’ll never get them all out.
I am ok with that.
But when I can
GET THEM OUT OF MY TANK WITH MY FEEDING PIPE
I do. I’ll even share the spaghetti picture I have. But these first photos are of the two largest ones I’ve caught. And verification that these are just normal everyday bristle nope mopes would be great.

Horrifying. I’m not a fan. Lately I have been feeling sorry for them because they are so pathetic when they accidentally get out in the open. I was looking in my tank last night and saw one I thought was a firework even after checking it under a brighter flashlight so I plucked it out and popped it in a cup of tap water. Turned out if was a regular guy and then I felt guilty. But I don’t like them.

They will stick the fish. And it’s awful looking when they do.
I don’t know if they’ve gotten my fish

I did notice Mr Purple looked like he ran into something. Thought maybe it was the nems. Maybe he hit a worm. But he healed up pretty quick

I don’t think all of my bristle worms are the same

Pretty sure I have at least 2 varieties

The normals
And then the ones I posted the pretty photos of!

@Goaway
I caught a really really large one after I got my KP rocks….yup he went flush. But where there is one……and that’s when I was like f it.

Yeah, these worms can stretch alot.
And those suckers are FAST!
Gotta be quick and stealthy to catch em!

One of the ones caught today was dumb and stretch out along the glass (this was after feeding the tank) he didn’t stand a chance!!!

If I remember correctly all of the ones in the spaghetti cup photos were plain Jane. Not red bristles.

I need to get another arrow crab. It’s the smaller ones that bother me because they are everywhere. I don’t see the bigger ones often- smart of them!

And even with filter socks I have bristles in my chateo.

Yeah, they are pretty fast. One time I had a bristle worm come completely out of its rock, so I took my tweezers and tried to catch it. That entire evening, I was chasing a bristle worm flowing in the current. My friend asked me why I didn't answer any of their texts, and once I was done I replied with, "I was chasing a worm". LOL. We never talked again.

Those first ones seem suspiciously/borderline fireworm like but the bulk shot ones look normal

I believe they are orange fireworms like @Goaway posted the link for

We both got live rocks from the same place and hers came in on that so it makes sense.

Need to find that photo of the first one I ever caught because it was spot on for an orange fireworm. And much larger. He took a swim in my toilet lol
