Ich in the tank!!!

Question about ich, let say you have ich in the tank but none of your fish show any sign of ich, won't the ich parasite died from not finding any fish to host or they can live in your rocks and substrate until they can attacks a weaker fish?

Ich can live in a tank without any symptoms showing on your fish. my coworker has ich in his 125 gallon tank and it occasionally flares up but doesn't kill anything. However must of us aren't that lucky so treating it is important especially if you plan to add more fish in the future as a weakened fish could start and outbreak
