I also have some pink xenia frags for movement if you would like. I would be willing to give them to you for free if you come pick them up.

Good to see more PA reefers. I have been side tracked with work lately. So I have not been active on the forums. But I am still lurking in the shadows. Twotangs I would love to check out your tank sometime. I am in york pa. You would be more than welcome to come see mine as well.

I am working on getting a picture up.

Hey qterry22 i got one blue pulsing xenia any tips on how to frag it.

Absolutely. First make sure its ready to frag. Xenia in general are hardy. However when they do take a turn for the worse there is almost no saving them. Of course there are exceptions but in general this is true. I would make sure that they have grown to a size worth fragging. They should have developed thick stalks that the pulsing hands are growing from. This is the point where you frag them. I would be more than happy to trade some pink for some blue if you would like. Also if they start to spread it will start "reaching" for other rocks. If you can frag it before it sets firm on the rock you will have a very healthy and easily fragged specimen. I have done it both ways...and even pealed it off a rock in some cases.

Pink Xenia... My wife loves pink. My only challenge is that I don't have a free weekend for a while. Plus York is a 90 minute drive on a good day.
Perhaps a pit stop at twotangs and see his setup then see yours... 2T is probably 1/2 way to York for me too so it's not like he's out of the way or anything.

Thanks!!

I totally understand. I am busy until August :/ But we got something started here. I would be more than willing to help organize a meet. I think it would be great. Maybe if we could find a great center point and possibly some car pulling if needed. I would love to see everyone's tank eventually. Lets keep this alive and actually make it work. I was trying to get in with the mason dixon club....but apparently it died :-/

I think one strong point for success is keeping it as a group of hobbyist and nothing to formal. Organize meeting and stuff when possible and just enjoy reefing together.

As a former paying member of MD Reef Club it is kind of sad to watch what happened. I think the leadership in place have gotten busy with other things and lost interest in what it takes to maintain the web site as well as the club.

Hey all. I'm from Schuylkill county....
75 gallon DT w/ 30 gal sump.
Up and running since April 17th.
2 blue green chromis
1 scissor tail chromis
Had a 3rd b/g chromis but the shrimp decided to eat it.
So far so good other than that.

Enjoy the update.
All is well....
Plants/Coral time for more color and movement??
