Is my mushroom coral splitting or melting?

Is my mushroom coral splitting or melting? I noticed there’s a big chunk of it beginning to detach from the rest of the body but the flesh looks healthy from what I can tell(??).

Sorry for the bad quality pictures! I had to take it with my phone’s camera looking through a pair of orange coral glasses.

I'd say probably splitting, if it were melting the tissue would go pale and the coral would dissolve

I have a mushroom that has changed over night, is it splitting or dying? I'm thinking and praying it's splitting
