Is Sicce 2.0 too large for Biocube 32?

Hi! Just got a biocube 32 and upgraded the return pump. Decided to go with the Sicce Silent 2.0 (would prefer AC for now financially). It’s humming pretty loudly. Part of this is probably because I have yet to replace the tubing from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch. Would this improve the sound?

I know the rule of thumb is 10x tank turnover but I figured since the Biocube is a nanotank, the more filtration, the better. Is this overkill? Should I downgrade to the 1.5 and would it be quieter? Is the return overpowering for my fish? I currently have a couple clowns and a few inverts.

Thanks!

Is it up against the side by chance? I ran the 2.0 in my 32 biocube with no issues. You can adjust the flow on the front of the pump.
