Well it has been warm here in San Diego so I added a fan on the same timer as the light. That way during the warmest parts of the day, when the light also happens to be on, the fan will kick in. I've already noticed a jump in evap but it's not too bad.

The beefed up clean up crew I added on Friday made short work of the small algae bloom I had going. Everything is crystal clear and clean now. I'll probably have to take out some snails and crabs and add them into my other tank so they aren't competing for food too much.

I was going to add my first fish on Saturday but when I went to the store to grab the one I had been watching it, and all the back ups I had chosen were gone. Oh well, I'm sure more will come along. The goal for fish right now is to add a small yellow clown goby.

Updated pic. The rock is starting to take on some color, no longer stark white, which is nice. Zoas also seem to be settling in nicely, especially the red people eaters. I need to clean the acrylic.

I havent updated this in a while. Been busy with the other tank and family vacations. Have a bit of algae but did a water change yesterday and am working to get it all cleaned up again. I also glued down my frags because my hermits kept redecorating.

Tank has been teaming with pods and other little bugs. Went to the store and picked out the tiniest little ruby red dragonette they had.

Well sad news, the ruby red jumped ship overnight. Didn't think a lid would be necessary since he was the only fish in the tank.

Haven't changed anything else lately other than adding some flow splitters to get some flow lower in the tank. I'll post up pics later.

Finally got a chance to take some pics. Not many changes. Only ever added the zoas. The heat here in San Diego has been insane so I'm happy anything is still alive. only loss so far was a jumping fish.

Thanks, It's not much to look at right now but it keeps things alive. I can see some growth on the red people eaters. They didn't like the original spot I put them in and kind of planted themselves a bit lower. I'll get the acrylic all cleaned up this weekend and ready for final pictures. I've heard the Mr Clean magic erasers do wonders and are safe for acrylic and can even be used in the tank with livestock, so I'm going to give that a shot.

The temps here in San Diego are finally starting to go down. I don't have chillers or AC in my apartment so both this little tank and my larger one are starting to recover. Thankfully I didn't lose anything to the heat, everything was just unhappy. Even fans didn't make much of a difference.
