Hello I am Chris i live in St Aug FL I have been out of reefing for about 10 years.
I recently came across a really good deal on a tank and decided to get back in.

My previous last tank was a reef savvy 110 rimless that was set up for about 5 years.

The new to me tank is a deep blue 80 gallon rimless that I found on marketplace

I will be doing a ATI 48x8 build t5
The sump is a eshopps R200 3 gen
The skimmer is a red sea RSK 300

I will be setting up a Sps QT tank and fish QT also and I have about 50 pounds of live rock cycling for the next month or so ( family trip in April so no real rush to set up the tank )

Over the sps qt tank I have a 24x6 build ATI sunpower dimmable

And will be using the 40 breeder as the fish QT when I get to that point

That’s about as far as I have gotten in about 2 weeks

My main display light should be here by the end of the week

Tank has been up for about a week. I do some ammonia to start the fishless cycle put a little bit too much in a 10 gallon water change and started my frag tank QT set up.

Went out of town last week for Legoland for the kids birthday. Stop by worldwide corals had a pretty good time. IMG_4311.jpeg IMG_4296.jpeg IMG_4302.jpeg IMG_4303.jpeg

We LL it been a bit busy here the tank is cycled and ready for fish, so is the SPS quarantine tank
I installed a apex a3 on my main tank I ordered a controller board from adaptive reef, but it came in damaged, so waiting for the replacement. Should be here tomorrow.

started my light cycles on both tanks starting to see a little bit of algae forming on the rocks

We are going on the cruise in two or three weeks more than likely to wait for fish.

I ordered some rock and sand from Tampa Bay live rock for the display and the refugium will not be here until may

One month update no to much going on
Got the apex a3 hooked up and running definitely a step up from the digital aquatics. I had back in the day.

Started the lighting cycle about 2-3 weeks ago
Some alge on the glass and rock work
Still have not turned on the skimmer
And currently no refugium running

it has about a .20 to .25 swing
At night it’s usually 8.0 to 8.1
Hopefully once I get the refuium up it will be more steady
I'm in the process of setting up a refugium now as well. One thing that helped my nightly ph swing was dosing Kalk at night. I dose Kalk at night and 2 part during the day. That has me at 8.2 during the day down to 8.17 at night and another drop to 8.15 just after it switches from kalk to 2 part in the morning.

I definitely think it’s going to be different. Once I get fish and other items into the tank pH was a factor on my last Aquarium idid two part then we will see how the tank progresses
