Have you ever had a knee jerk reaction to something you observed occurring in your reef tank?
What caused the reaction?
What was the knee jerk action you took?
Did it solve the problem or cause more problems?
What was the ultimate fix?

Me
Ick
Coppered tank ( I was very new aquariums especially to reef tanks)
Yes. Caused big problems but the tank was young. Kill what few corals I had and caused lots of heartache.
Copper fixed ick on some and lost some. CupriSorb helped and I was able to grow coral but unsure of long term effects of coppering a reef tank.

Newbie mistake, reacted too quickly. Breath, research, breath , inquire to OGs then react.

The shipwreck of my old tank should serve as a warning to others.

Im guessing the most common would be to add chemicals when they are not needed because of a testing error
