I know that lanthanum can bind to rock, sand, etc as well as to phosphate. I also assume it can bind to the growth tips of SPS. Can lanthanum inhibit deposition of CaCO3 the way phosphate does?

I've not seen evidence of calcification inhibition by lanthanum.

I've been using Lanthanum for I believe three weeks or so and all is see is growth on the tips, due to low phosphate. I don't see any issues with SPS.
