So I have what appears to be a Molly fry in my sump. Or at least I have a fry in the sump, mollies in my DT and I’m confident it’s not the fry of any of my other fish pairs (clown, zebra dartfish).

Looks like there’s only one, and it’s brand new - about 1/4” to 3/8” long, very tiny. I assume it made it into the overflow and then benefited from a clogged filter sock overflowing (from maintenance that day, not general neglect).

Anyway - there’s a ton of rock in there, and the sump is lit so has algae and so on. Assuming it doesn’t go into the return pump should this little thing be ok in there until it’s big enough to put back up in the DT? Would it need feeding or just let it eat the algae/pods/etc down there?
