I'm not sure whats up with this Stawberry Shortcake but I know two people with the original Unique Corals Shortcake, I'll be getting a piece from both of them and the ORA version. It's just too nice not to have... 3 of them!

Sadly this recently went on me, slow tissue recession. Not sure what happened to it, alkalinity was on point, flow was good. No idea.

Been a while, corals have grown a lot since then. Just got one photo for tonight, will update within the next few days.

It's been a while, A LOT OF CLEANING UP! Breaking down the old frag tank and preparations to sell all the used old stuff I don't need anymore. One thing for sure is that I haven't been updating any corals!

The last few corals I bought were from Blueline, he's popped in here before. I got the infamous Tyree Reef Raft Yellow Jacket Caroliniana. Didn't get a before picture but it was in rough shape. So here it is as of now:

Splotches are coming

Original piece, me and another person bought it together. It was big enough to chop, but we should have waited. He is disappointed but its what happens when you can't control your alkalinity swings. lol ;)

What it looks like, I really hope to achieve this! It looks so awesome!!

I'll have more updates tomorrow. The corals in the DT have really taken off with the addition of more water volume. Frag tank has been getting cooked, forgot about new bulbs and LEDs.

Really good photography... And really great collection :] Thanks for sharing

I'm actually running one of your scrubbers on my tank now, but sadly might be switching over to a denitrator. :(

But the good news is I have SPS updates! Great ready cause your about to get spoiled with SPS ****!

Blue Tip Tenius - This little guy basically died out during the chloramine tank crash but has since been making a nice and slow come back.

Sorry for the delay! :(

Is your nitrate not dropping? Pics of the scrubber growth would help :)

Nitrates have always been low to non-detectable. I'm testing with Salifert kits for the nitrate and Hanna checker for phosphate. Recently started to GFO to help bring the levels down.

My DIY scrubber has been retired. I've been running a HOG1 from you guys and recently got a Surf2 to help take care of things. Slowly backing off the bio-pellets as I don't want to rely on them for anything.

If you're having trouble with the scrubbers or your water parameters (since you mentioned switching to a denitrator), pictures of the growth would really help us to make a recommendation :]

By the way, beautiful photos you posted. Where did you find the Blue Tenius? That one seems pretty hard to come by. Very pretty :]

Growth on the scrubbers have been phenomenal. I'm happy with both the HOG and Surf models. Blue Tenius I forgot where I got it but its really doing well now.

Did a reboot on the display tank as well. Mostly SPS dominate with misc zoas and such at the bottom of the tank.

Wow, your tank looks phenomenal! You've got a very good eye for composition.

And we are very pleased to hear that our scrubbers are serving you well :]

I'll take some pictures next time, would still like your input on how to improve growth and when to harvest. Right now I do it when I remember, so that's usually every two weeks when I decide to change out media.

Sorry for the delay :)

Basically clean every 7 to 10 days, or sooner if it gets dark. If you can post some growth pics, we can tell you if it's time :)

I'll take some now. System is currently in ULNS due to so many nutrient removal systems I've integrated into the system.

Just removed the HOG.5 last night.

I recent removed bio-pellets, GFO, and trimmed off a lot of macro algae. Oh yeah, overfeeding now to try and bring up my phosphates.
