Found this black stuff on my sand bed. no idea what it is put it looks like fine black sand.

Well here is my first hurdle....got a phosphate problem causing alot of green hair algae. Went out today and picked up 2 turbos, 2 nassarius, and 2 astreas hopefully with them a 2 gallon water change and lights off for a day or to can correct the problem.

^ part of the new tank journey, buddy! Get a good CUC, do water changes ever two-three days, and scrape those rocks.

Quick update. The algae bloom is slowly dieing which is awesome and I know have 3 heads on my zoa frag, the elephant ears are opening alot bigger, and the worst news is that the pulsing xenia is going everywhere.

Took some constructive criticism and did a little re arranging. I plan on adding an arc from the center straight back. Put how does it look at this point?

Got water!!!!! Let the cycle began. Throw in the cycled rock to help start the cycle. This is what it looks before it settles.
