I got this fish on March 23, 2024. Over the next couple of days I noticed that his right eye was "cloudy". Since then it has constantly gotten worse. It now is like a blister or bubble on his eyeball. It moves with his eye movement but does not seem to cause him any discomfort. I can't really tell if he is blind in that eye. I plan to tear down that tank in the next week or so to remove the sandbed and I can catch him easily them. Should I try to manually remove the bubble?

Often this happens with an injury or scratch but this may be gas embolism. With this, you can often wait it out and also assure there are no micro bubbles within the tank. Some are temped to pop it which can cause further eye damage.
Maracyn is often helpful; with eye issues but rarely addresses this type of issue

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
