I just bought a brand new simplicity 240 DC skimmer butt. I’ve had it running for a few hours and it hasn’t pulled up any skim. it’s in 8 inches of water. if anyone has any experience with this, please help me.

thank you
Try the lowest pump speed on the controller, air turned all the way up, and water level at bottom of skimmer cup neck. Adjust pump speed and water level up from there after a couple days if needed.

I also run my simplicity 320 in 8 inches of water. I have it on the highest pump setting on the controller, water level is where the cup meets the neck and my silencer is opened up quite a lot. Its going to take some time for it to break in and you can just adjust it where needed as it breaks in

Almost all skimmers need to break in, I just remove the plug and let the skimmer overflow when it stops it is broken in.
