Hey everyone I'll keep it short I use to have a 37g on a cannister filter. It went well for about a year then everything died fish snails crabs everything in the about 1 week. Its been a few months I'm starting back up. I scrapped the cannister filter reused the 37 gal and built a 10gal sump with digit fiji cube baffles and another baffle set from Amazon. I'm setting up a hang on Overflow into the sump with a filter sock into mechanical filtration, into refugium and and back up. Anyones opinion or suggestion I still need to get return pumps I'm thinking 2 200gph (goes up about 4 and a half feet I Wana use pvc pipes not tubing 10 gal sump and 37 gal display) any input would be appreciated. thank you

Two return pumps for that size tank is gonna be overkill, just get one and you’ll be good. You’ll also be happier long term if you drill the tank.

What size would you recommend for the single return pump? I would live to drill but honestly I don't trust myself all to well. I live on the second floor of a house with the landlords living room beneath the tank so I'd rather not risk a hole leaking or compromising the tank thank you thou

I’d suggest looking at a skimmer that you could possibly work into that setup.
I thought about a skimmer but with a filter sock I thought it might be overkill plus the 10 gal is small and o don't have too much over head space
