anyone have heard of this? I just picked one up. In the new fuge that got put up a cple days ago. have purple tang 3 x the size in mt.
yeah, anyone hear of this fish. been reading a bit, finding out some saying it's a "mimic sailfin"?
Also hearing its a shortnose yellow tang from the philippines.

I will get some up afterwork. I put her in the fuge, pulled her out the same night after seeing ick. setup a hospital tank for her. slowly lowering the salt.

not eating algae though. they were killing her at the shop. paper thin black spots developed on the face.

I have a few of these and yes they were from the phillipines , that's what they call them , they also have a black boarder around them as they get older
I will try and post a picture tonight if they stay still long enough, you are correct they don't seem to look for algae .

she is in a hospital tank as of now. I was thinking of keeping her in the 20g fuge. Atleast until she get a bit bigger. I have a purple tang in the mt, doubt there might be problem if i move rocks around.
the fuge has low very low water movement. chaeto caulerpa rocks sand.

i was trying to see where see should go after hospital tank. prob wait 10 weeks or so to be sure.

yes and there also called chocolate tangs as they get bigger they get more brown and orange on them.....also have seen them called false mimics
