Hi all, im new here.

Names Cody from Australia

I currently have a roughly 250l system including sump, and am in the process of upgrading to my 1600-1700l system, and will no doubt have many questions along the way.

I have purchased an aquamedic dc runner 9.3 return pump, and am currently trying to work out drain piping before i order all my pipe and fittings.

The pump comes with 40mm/1 1/2" fittings so thats easy.

Should the drain pipe be the same size or do i go larger? 1, 2 or 3 pipes? Will be feeding into a reefmat 1200 or similar if that makes a difference

My tank is not drilled so i can do that however i like.

I am also modifying a 1500x500mm tank i have for the sump, is it worth going 5 section or leave it 4 when i baffle it?

Thanks in advance guys. Tank wont be started to be assembled for another couple months atleast after we move and settle in, but want it right the first time
