First time build thread here. Been in hobby for 10+ years, this is my 4th setup.
Started off building a stand that will hold a 125 Marineland aquarium and also show off my sump and control panel

I bought a sSapphire Trigger44 sump along with Eshopps 300 skimmer. I'm going to use blue and grey plumbing to match the sump. I will add blue accent lighting under there too. The control cabinet will be Ran by Apex, been using Apex for 5 or 6 years, I like it.

So this was a tank I wanted to build like 3 years ago and never started. But I did by new equipment that never got opened yet.
I have 3 AI 32hd's to mount in a 61" hybrid T5 HO
Two Maxxspect gyre Xf350
Jaebo 15000 dcp pump
And I just purchased recently the sump and skimmer mentioned in previous post

Got me new overflow box in mail today from Modular Marine.
I also decided to coat the top of stand with 2 part epoxy to make a nice flat level surface.

From my return pump I was going to use a 1" line off of pump and T into two 3/4" return lines.
Is this OK? Reducing the piping shouldn't be a problem should it?

My
Looking good so far! What color are you going

Looking good so far! What color are you going to paint it?
I would have went solid black but my wife has everything painted black, gray or white so I added a little color. Not sure if I like it or not. Just painted last night though.

Great start! Splitting the return like you mentioned is pretty standard, I believe. Going with 2 3/4" lines off the 1" is not really restricting the flow, according to this Flow Chart from Flex PVC.

I'm interested to see how you like the Sapphire Trigger44 sump. I looked at that one when choosing a sump but decided to go a different direction for flexibility in adding a Fleece Roller.

I decided to go 1 1/4 to two 3/4 returns. Do you think the 1" to two 3/4 would still be better?

Nice! I'd be scared to death with the pool table right there. The little bar on the front lip of the stand is a nice touch.
Oh man, I completely missed the pool table being right there. Whatever you do, do not invite me over to play pool next to your fish tank. my pool shots have been known to leave the table quite often. LOL

Finally finished plumbing. Took longer than I wanted and definitely not how I pictured it or wanted it, but it will do its job.
