My small colony. Growing strong for 2 months.
Those nuclear green Paly's will choke out the Zoa's in my past experience. I had a Zoa garden with 6 different Zoa species and the rock had two Nuclear Green Paly polyps on it and within 6 or so months they killed the Zoa's. There where well over 100 Paly's on it before I ended up removing the rock and bleached it.

I will keep an eye on them. The purple seem to be keeiung them in line. I have had many more of those pop up and only 1 new green paly. I will definitely be cautious though. I have read many posts about these taking over tanks.

Here are some photos of very young tank with Zoa island and then "Holy Crap".

Jan 2021-Zoa island lower left corner. May need to expand photo to see it better.

Oh wow. That is insane. Thanks for the heads up. I might be moving these to the corner to isolate them. Make sure they don't take over. So far those purple zoas outgrow mine. You think mine are Nuclear Greens or Green implosions? Either way i know i have to be careful.

I am no expert on Paly's but from what I have read is Green Implosions have long tentacles that are the same color as the body and Nuclear Green have short tentacles a different color from the body. This is what I have read but as you can see mine has long tentacles but different color than the body so that goes against what I have read on a thread on this site.

Same. I have seen a lot of variations as well. I was going by an ID guide that basically led me to believe they are Palythoa mutuki. I am not 100% sure. Thanks again.

Have you ever seen super long tentacle zoas/palys? I have these as well. I really like them.
