When there's not enough water left in the brute can to do a water change what do you do? I don't want to waste the the salt water at the bottom of the can, but I need to start making more so that I have enough to complete a water change. Do you just add more RO/DI water and salt mix to the water left in the can? Or do you dump out the water and start from scratch? Thanks!

I add more rodi water to it. Then add less salt than usual for the batch. I’ll check it a day later, and add more salt if necessary.

If you are storing water just make sure to keep an eye out for bacteria. I inadvertently used a dirty mixing pump and had a nice bacterial slick that I didn't notice. Cause a nice bloom (cloudy water) in my tank. No big deal but a pain in you know what.

Like everyone else, I just add new RO/DI and mix up a new batch...taking into account that I will need less salt since there is already salt water in the container.
