Favorite thing about reefing...

I'm a teacher, and my tank is in the classroom. My favorite thing about reefing is that I get to witness first hand a miniature version of a coral reef ecosystem. I also love getting to learn something new alongside my students everyday!

I love watching the fish interact with each other, the ripples in the water, and just getting lost in gazing at the tank.

In the morning, I try to spend at least a few minutes sipping coffee while watching my reef and taking in the serenity and attention from my fish. Fish don't cry or lick themselves. It is my favorite time of day. :kiss:

I would say my favorite thing about reefing is the constant learning that occurs. I began this hobby with minimal knowledge and experience, however in the 2 years I have been doing it, it has become more than just a passion, it has become a love of mine. Reefing is now a part of my everyday life, and I couldnt imagine not having the ability to sit for hours in front of the tank as my form of serenity or continue seeing new growth on corals that I bought with a single polyp with new babies on them. I also think it is amazing to have a "family" in this hobby as you meet and become friends with others who share the same passion. This hobby has made me a better person and I love everything it has to offer.
