Hey guys, so this is one of the coolest things I've seen yet at MACNA!

It's the Reef Kinetics automated water testing unit. This device is fully automated -- it pulls the water from your tank based on the schedule you set in the app on your mobile device, it tests your water using reagents, and then sends the results to a (really clean) app on your mobile device. It allows you to monitor and track trends. It's also expandable to allow more tests at once.

It will test calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, nitrate, phosphate, potassium, and pretty much anything else you can test with reagents AND probes.

It even self-cleans!

Their website states they are venture backed. I'm hoping that means this is coming to market in the not so distant future.
Yes I read that part. And wonder why the need too put that in the ad. Give me a date and a price. That would be better.

Imo. These are very low volume products. I mean how many active refers that actually would plunk down a guesstimate 600-1000. So if they have a working model. They don't have to produce too many units to launch.

IMO most aquarists that are tech-nerds enough to own a controller, would love to get something like this. They have a working model here at the show, and I'M IMPRESSED.

True. I also think being venture backed means they won't have to deal with costly pre-orders and the rush to market as opposed to crowdfunding. I also originally thought the volume wouldn't be high, but I also think there is a chance that I'm underestimating the size and price sensitivity of the market.

What actually happened to Mindstream? This is a very neat product, hopefully I'll be able to grab one.

I hope so. I know I should test more often. But it's the thing I hate doing the most. I would love to have something to test for me.

Very skeptical. real-world testing would prove more.
