They sell these little soft silicon funnels in a three pack...somewhere :) Ocean state maybe? Perfect for dosing by hand if you have a tight spot. I use it on my overflow, that has a hole on the lid to dose

Not implying that I am one at all (pro) but I thought it'd be neat to have a thread of quick little 'pro tips' for people to browse. Not meant to be controversial or debated; just a quick post of something that you do that makes the hobby a little easier or something that you feel gives you an advantage or just something you feel others ought to know.

Here's an example:

Keep your glass clean so that your cuc focus more on the rockwork.
Whatever way you choose maintain, make sure your routine is one that you will realistically stick with in the long run.

Carbon dosing which does not just apply to reefing and will help stabilize your alkalinity by replacing the base lost during nitrification therefore reducing the effort needed to later stabilize the excess sodium added by constantly correcting with soda ash or baking soda or calcium from adding kalk. Everything that corrects and imbalance creates it's own imbalance.

They sell these clips on Amazon (of course) that are perfect for holding dosing tubes, etc. I've got them holding my awc lines in place as well as a thermometer, heater and ph cables on my water bucket. And they adjust in size by sliding....cheap...like $7 for a 6 pack I think...

Just threw 14 gallons of RODI in the closet. These 'tainers just came in. If you don't have a lot space, or money for that matter; pretty good imo. Like $16 on amazon. Might snag a few more since they stack so nice :thinking-face:
