Okay here is a series of pics . I listened to BRS and left my lights off for the first 4 months to try and reduce the “ugly phase”. Had my doubts about it working, but man, I believe it really worked. Anyway, you can see the difference in the base rocks once the light comes on.

Here are some f my first ever corals ! I am very excited about them as last time, I had a FOWLR tank. I have never done corals before. These are a rasta zoa, a yellow hornet zoa, and a photosynthetic purple gorgonian.

Thank you, this really is a fascinating hobby.
Yeah some people get it and I don't get some people. I would rather look at a massive tank then a tv any day. I just got a giraffe serpent the other day. That's pretty cool. Like a low maintenance octopus

They look pretty cool, how big do they get. The little serpent star in one of my pics was a hitchhiker! I was excited to see him, very small at moment, maybe 3/4” tip to tip.
