Need some advice. I have been fighting mostly SCA mixed with some LCA. Been dosing silicated for the last three weeks to create a diatom bloom and that seems to be working. I see a 50/50 mix of various diatoms with dions. NO3 is at 25ppm and PO4 probably still sitting at .1-.15 my hanna checker doesnt work beacuse of the silicate (I will be getting a different PO4 test kit soon). But can I remove the thin layer of hair algea that seems to be forming on the sandbed with mesh fish net? Not going to do a rip clean just yet because I am making headway against dinos.

that is what I thought as well. Have more CUC coming in tomorrow or thursday from reefcleaners so hopefully they will help with some of it for now.
