"ACCEPT NO STUBSTITUTE!"

Not sure what a "stubstitute" is, but there must not be any in their product. Unless maybe it's mixed into the "QX-23®".

If you get it from the shore good luck to you. Unless you know something I don't but wouldn't that be filled with stuff we don't want in the tank? Maybe go out further?

Dam, I wish I knew that when I started my reef with that water in 1971.

If you get it from an ocean beach, the tide doesn't matter, although people will argue that. If you get it from an inlet, high tide would be best. I just walk out with a bucket.

Is it wise to get the water from limnetic (phytoplankton-rich) zone?

I'm twenty minutes from Jones Beach, when I was putting my first tank together in July I was considering using water from the ocean. Since I'm a beginner and after reading the forums I decided to mix instead. Might try it with a nano tank I'm thinking of setting up in the future.

How about the aluminum, silver, and tin as well. They label these as critical elements for our reefs. Could my tank be nutrient deficient in Aluminum, silver, and tin?

After the list of critical elements and their levels, they state this, "*This product is in it's natural state we did not alter it, levels may vary."

Sounds like snake oil to me. I'd rather by my seawater from Paul B. :)

First few meters maybe? Light Penetration zone (Also, bucket range).

Well, I'd advise taking it from the top, if only because taking it from several meters down would be ridiculously complicated. :D

Especially with a bucket :D Or, who can falsify me if I state that the water collected from freshest source at 50 meters depth :)
