Sounds a little steep. I'd bet mine is somewhere around 50GPH or less, but I've never measured it. Just a slow and steady stream is all that is needed. What brand of GFO did you use?

Brs standard, not HC. Thanks for the link. Might just put a diy together, 2 liter bottle and tiny holes in the neck, tiny pump and gfo. Btw, when I used the 2 cups previously, it was in a bag near the return.

The return section might be good as well. I'd run two cups and test weekly to see if it's exhausted. Test the output stream of the canister/reactor and see if it's lower than the tank water. It should be slightly lower. When it's not lower it's exhausted and needs to be replaced

I watch them over and over. Good info and translated in English. English that most can understand. Lol

Been swapping out my filter socks every 2 days. Usually I turn a extra pump and blow off the junk throughout the rocks and back wall when I switch socks. Tuesday night I put a new sock in and last night it was almost black looking and I didn't even blast off any junk throughout.

Thinking of going from the 100 micron socks I have now to 10 or 25 micron socks (been searching online). Never liked running socks, but considering it full time. Washable 10 or 25 micron socks is pretty difficult to find.

I run a 200 micron sock 24/7 and change it out every 4-5 days. When I have 3 dirty ones I put them in the washer with bleach to wash them inside out

I clean them the same. I just was in shock to see how dark it turned without me stirring anything up.

Last night I read about 10 pages out of 47 (I think) from another form on dosing the LC I dose. They recommended a 10 micron filter to catch the LC when dosing into the sock itself. This way the LC didn't become suspended within the DT and cause settling issues.

I hear ya. Gotta buy it in a group buy and by the 5 gallon bucket. Also, the high capacity is really good for larger systems from what I've read.

LOL!

I buy everything in 5 gallons and then sell them at the discounted rate to the club in one gallon increments. Works out great for everyone!
