Hi all, I have a 60gal tank and am finally making my own RODI water which I am storing in 5gal jugs currently. I usually keep 5-6 jugs ready at any given time. For water changes, rather than store\mix\etc in Brute cans.. anything wrong with mixing in the jugs direct? I should never need to replace more than 10% a week anyway. Thanks!

Depends on the brand of salt. Some types can handle being stored and have stability. Others can have deteriorating elements etc. What brand salt are you thinking?

Someone else is going to have to chime in regarding that, I am unsure if you can leave that sit, or if it's one that deteriorates if you keep mixing etc.

*Edit - according to Red sea, mix a max of 2 hours, also looks like a max of 7 days depending on the type
