Yeah the bags were getting damaged, I think that was the reason I got the sea salt for so cheap, discontinued. I stocked up for a year+ at least. Tank is looking better I think since switching from IO Reef Crystals.

Less wcs now so I will opt for a better salt bc price really isn't a factor like it was. It's not bad salt...just low on certain things but the big 3 are fine

Apex was the only thing really tried and true when I bought it used. I do like the hydros but honestly a controller is really a glorified power plug for me. I do not use the apex for half of what it can do...just a monitor really.

That makes sense. Maybe that’s why the Reef Salt version was so cheap a few months ago. @Thuan was also smart to stock up.

Iodine and one other element was the only things I saw that had major differences. Otherwise Alk/Cal/Mag was pretty close between the two.

The reef salt has added vitamins and aminos though.

That would be me also. While I love automation and gadgets, I don't like a possible single failure point. Also most of my equipment also won't sync with Apex. Only way to control them would be with the power strip anyways.

OMG. When I float the sbb orders on Wed,, I forgot the blue frogspawn. I went to do some maint and saw the bag in the sump and very fluffy.
