Dang buddy, blue spot jawfish. What a beauty. Do you run your tank at a lower temp?
Ive read that about them. I do not. Ive also read of others having success with them at typical reef temps. I run a stable 79F. I just checked my log, hes the only unlogged item in my tank. I want to say I've had him for 4 months. Im not confident that his weight is entirely where it should be. LFS happened to have him so i gave it a shot. He does eat everyday and pokes out above the monticap in the mornings. I likely would not do another one unless i get a solid 2 years of longevity. I just tossed a cube in to get a good shot:

@babyand i bought the membrane, carbon block, and filter in 25pk lot off ebay. Sp much cheaper. It works.
I am thinking the o-rings may leak. I think this due to when pressure is on the system my tds goes up. If i drain the 5 gallons or so before start it appears to be fine. Sometimes i hit 0 tds before DI.

Do you run a flush before and after making water? Thats extended my DI significantly.

Yes I do. Didnt used to until I had all the issues. Now no issues. I flush before the Di so that I am not using any extra di resin.

Going to set up a plant watering system this summer so that i can use the wasted water when i flush.
