Take a look at the Bubble Magus mini q skimmer. I have one on WB 20 cube and it is amazing. $50 and started skimming in a matter of minutes. Fits in center chamber with ease. I did have to shift my light mount slightly
Thanks @ohioreefer, I’ll take a look at that skimmer. How long have you been running it on your Cube 20?

The Waterbox Cube 20, cabinet, return pump and refractometer were shipped yesterday and are currently scheduled for delivery on Friday. The XR15, mount, diffuser and skimmer were shipped from BRS yesterday as well and are currently scheduled to arrive on Saturday.

Starting to feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!!

The cabinet finally arrived yesterday. So far, I have received the Cube 20, the cabinet, refractometer and Sicce Syncra Silent 1.0. The heater is our for delivery today. More goodies should arrive on Thursday. I'll post pictures once the cabinet is assembled.

looking forward to seeing this build! I have the same tank and struggled with nutrients as I was doing 20% waterchanges and using a skimmer. Since pulling the skimmer I've had much more stability so I imagine you have to balance either skimming or a reduced waterchange. I'm following along :)

Were your nutrients too low?

yes, nutrients were low, I since added more fish (3nr) and feed aminos every other day. I did make the mistake of overdosing reefroids during my 1 feeding a week, so currently getting my p03 down from 0.16 just with waterchanges and controlled feeding.

I have a cube 20 myself. Very cool little tank. I needed a second tank to allow the kids to put what they want in there, and stop crying about not having any say in my sps tank.
I would suggest holding off on the skimmer for a while. We are up to 2 small clowns, a dottyback, a randals Goby, 6 snails, 3 crabs, and the pistol shrimp, and nutrients are still stable. I contribute a bit of that to my light cycle still being at 6 hours a day, but that has been my best trick for starting new tanks.
Here's a video of "Shrimpy" doing work:

It’s like Christmas morning. Wave maker and sand ordered this evening. Hoping to open the box of life rock tomorrow and designing the rock scape.

Front, top and back wall view of the aquascape. I’ll also make an island for the front left area. Should be enough open space for circulation and plenty of hiding spaces for fish and other critters.
