Welcome to try it, I'd love to hear other people's opinions. I tried again at 9 months and it was fine. I still have that nem, but I started with a cheap green orange one the second time. I had the same situation though where a friend gifted the first one that was nicer.

just emailed my lfs and asked them if they could hold it for some time(adding I could also pay if they needed me too)

This looks more my style haha

on this specific one i used a 5v LED strip which seems to grow iso with no issues at full intensity.
i do plan on using 12v strips for the other cultures since the other need more lightning as @Kasrift has mentioned

I hesitate to try a high end nem With a tank that's only 3- 4 mos.

I think they are Pink Berry. I know most are very red, not pink but here is the one I purchased which looks identical to those.
