I'm not just a reefer, but also a scuba diver and (amateur) underwater photographer. The camera I currently use is a GoPro 11, and I am looking to upgrade to an Olympus TG-6 with a dive housing. I am also looking into getting a controller for my fish tank, probably the Hydros. The thing is, I'm "running short on money" (probably shouldn't be using that term if I have enough to buy a camera) and can only buy one for now. On one hand, the Olympus would be a massive upgrade from my GoPro, though I would only use it a few times a year when I'm on vacation. On the other hand, a controller would help me a lot with tasks including feeding or monitoring tank health, but it is not necessary. Which one should I get?

Unfortunately not really a question we can answer for you.......whichever is more important to you :) I personally would go with the controller since that will be used daily. Since you only go on vacation a few times a year you will have plenty of time to save up for the camera.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
