Tank is an 18.5 gallon mixed reef tank with quite clean waters since I've been using a 25 micron pleated cartridge and activated carbon and frequent water changes, however I thought it might be beneficial to have a small refiguium for macroalgae copepods and storing fish temporarily as well as coral if I need too. Do you think a box like this could potentially be good as a mini refugium?

to each his own and I understand your intentions and sure it will provide benefit. But for me personally, the cost doesn't justify the benefit on this size of tank.

I started running a fuge on my nano some weeks ago. I have ‘dirty’ water with 20 nitrate and .2 to .3 phosphate consistently present. I haven’t really seen a dent or any notable decrease in those. I did notice ph was less prone to fluctuate, stayed around 8.1

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
