Years ago there was a post regarding skimmate and to dump or not .

Has anyone ever used it as fertilizer for plants ?

There used to be a mixing ratio of 10:1
But curious if anyone has ever mixed , used it and noticed any benefits ?

It stinks , full of nutrients
I would assume it Depends on the consistency and concentration whether wet or dry and think it would also reflect the ratio mixed

There are many good things in the skimmate for a garden/plants/etc. There could also be many bad things, such as too much salt, any chemicals/products you may be dosing, etc. I have often wondered about this, but I am unsure, so dispose of it.

DIY facemask for the wife
Mine loses her mind every time I clean my collection cup
Depends on my mood is where I clean it .
If she irritated me that day. I’ll dump it and wash it in the kitchen sink .
On good days I’ll flush it down the toilet and even close the door to allow the smell to go away .

choose wisely …

If dry . There really shouldn’t be any salt in it ?

Slightly higher concentration of salt if it’s dry due to evaporation as you probably empty less often. Mechanical Skimming always lowers salinity over time. Best bet for skimmate is bake it into cookies and leave them in an office break room.

Lowering salinity . The way I see it .. the skimmer is removing liquid from the system . But we’re adding freshwater back .
If it was evaporation the salt concentration is left behind but because we’re actually removing salt water and replacing it with freshwater ( ato )

Dry skimmate is higher in salt not the tank. Sorry if I was not clear.

What exactly was it ?
From sea-90 site:
"Sea-90 minerals and trace elements are natural crystals produced multiple times per year from sea water trapped in retention ponds located in a pristine estuary on the Sea of Cortez"
