Not reefing related thank god... A tea light's oil caught fire from being too hot so I reacted by trying to blow it out :( The doctor said I could have lost my eye if I did not have my glasses on.

It really sucks :(On one hand I am happy because it could have been worse but on the other I am kind of depressed. It's a second degree burn and will scar the doc said.

This was taken this morning

This was taken at the doctors office 5hrs after the other picture.

Now I have a pussing bandage that is dripping into my eyes occasionally but atleast I am not scaring any kids

Nah dont be bummed! You just have to make up a ****** story about how you got the scar! Like you were cave diving and a sudden wave pushed you into the rock.

Get a big ol' eye patch! Admittedly it would have to cover half your face thereabouts, but it would give you an excuse to talk like a pirate until it heals.

Yeah the tea light oil / wax caught fire. It was shooting a 10 inch flame out of it.

hopefully the dr prescribed silver sulfadine ???? i've had an experience with worse burns than that and i had no scars...although it was on the palm of my hands so maybe since it's tougher skin it did not scar

Ok, so this thing hurt you pretty bad and it's still sitting on your counter? That thing would have been out the window if it were me!!!

Wow that looks painful! I have been there. 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the bottom of my foot last 4th of July. You can probably use your imagination on the details. Not fun.
