I am in the process of building a pair of Aquatop 40 gallon cubes. They are roughly 22"x22"x22". I plan on having one for LPS and one for SPS. First trying to decide on what LED to use for each of them as the stock "marine" light that comes with it is basically just for fish. After the light is decided on, I would like to come up with a stock list for each of the tanks. Is there any fish you would recommend for these tanks that may work better in one versus the other? Would prefer not to duplicate fish in each of the tanks.

I would recommend a jawfish. The jawfish would do better in the sps tank because it would probably take coral growing on the substrate. A hawkfish could work in both tanks. A hawkfish might eat small inverts. Pajama or banji cardinal fish would be good in both tanks.
