I think this gray white fuzzy thing is a sponge ? I've read elsewhere that its not really good unless its what your going for, given I have a mixed reef tank is it best to remove this ? and if so how ??

Harmless and filters your water :)
If you really want to remove, hydrogen peroxide should do the trick.

Yeah, probably sponge, harmless/beneficial filter-feeder

Yep looks like a sponge filter feeder I would leave it in unless it’s starts to take over . Sponges look great but some can take over your reef @Subsea is a sponge keeper

All sponges are beneficial. Some eat microbes like ich parasites.

I use cryptic sponges for their biochemistry to recycle DOC into the microbial loop which feeds the reef.

I can not determine if your video has (fuzzy white) cryptic sponges. They proliferate in my unlit sump and on the dark side of rocks in my display.
