Just to add to all the good advice provided, you could try to dose TM Plus-NP. From TM description it might help with your situation. No I didnt use carbon dosing. All I did was feeding my fish and some powder coral food, and water change about 15%/2 weeks. and I do manual dosing for maintaining KH and Ca.

Nitrates got up because my phosphates bottomed out. I'm trying to bring those back in so nitrates start dropping.
NO3 imbalance can also signal RO membrane failure. Mine typically bleeds through if I try to push a membrane for too long and suddenly 50N /0.1PHe’s depleting the PO4 with GFO and 60 ppm NO3 is typically a sign of overfeeding.
I have nopox. You think bacto balance is better?Yes I would take out the GFO and see over 3 or 4 weeks what happens to the corals. For carbon dosing I would use TM bacto balance at 1/4 recommend dose.
My reason for carbon dosing is to feed bacteria that hopefully feeds the corals. I am not fan of growing excess bacteria for nutrients control, you never know what you end up with.
Good luck.
No GFO...He’s depleting the PO4 with GFO and 60 ppm NO3 is typically a sign of overfeeding.
Corals, filter socks, and 6 hours of skimmer.NO3 will go up if PO4 is low or depleted, but not to 60 ppm.
Try this…
Feed less, remove the GFO, start slowly dosing Phosphorus.
What other filtration is on the system.?
Based on what I read NOPOX is based on Vodka and Vinegar (these are short chain polymers that any bacteria can consume) and if your intent is to use it for nutrient control either will work.I have nopox. You think bacto balance is better?
Burnt tips have no visible flesh. It’s harsh calcium carbonate rock.i have being wanted to ask some one, how can you tell a difference between burn tips and coral normal growth white tips?
Growth tips will still have visible polyps. Burnt tips won't.i have being wanted to ask some one, how can you tell a difference between burn tips and coral normal growth white tips?
