So I’d like to switch over to all for reef from 2 part + mag. However I made an overdose mistake about a month ago and I have elevated Cal and mag at 528ppm and 1565ppm. Alk is at 7.8. Should I wait to start using AFR until my cal and mag return to normal? I use an auto water change system at 11% weekly so it’s taking some time for those numbers to come down. Mainly sps tank 40 gal.

Yes, you want to wait until you reach your ideal baseline.

You could use AFR now and those values will stay about the same, or you could use just an alk supplement such as baking soda for a while while they drop and then when calcium is in line, start the AFR. The magnesium will mostly only decline if you are doign water changes.
