Have the same tank. Started it at work with the included filter and light but brought it home after i kept having to move desks. It's at home now and upgraded filter to a moded AC70 I had laying around but working on incorporating a small sump. Little tanks test your creativity.
That is true, I am currently looking into getting a 2nd filter possibly an aquatop as it comes with a uv light built in

My plan is to build a small stand to have it about 8" from the desktop and place a MAME overflow on it connected to a small 2.5 gal sump behind it. Should be ordering the overflow within the next couple of weeks.

Wanted to get a background to block the cables from view, thought I had picked a black background but looks like I clicked the wrong spot and got the ocean view. Will try it out and see how it grows on me

And the sand and bacteria have been inserted, now on to the water. I really like the depth of the bed.

Water is in [emoji97] , also put in the coal insert so it would not be bare. Now to wait for the dust to settle

Included 50/50 light that will be lighting the display at least until I put in an AI hydra 52 on it. Lol. Jk
Light should be enough but time will tell. I do plan on putting in some soft corals so hopefully it will be enough

Included filter. Will possibly replace with a larger one or incorporate a second one for better water filtration. If anyone has this tank, please feel free to provide your input

Gonna follow this, looks fun! Good choice of sand, I went with the CaribSea black, and while it looks good, there are small pieces that attract to my two little fishes nano mag and scratch my tank.....eeek!

Here's the tank about an hour and 45 minutes after pump was connected. Really starting to clear. The coal decoration is just temporary as I will be putting in live rock.

Couple of blue leg hermit crabs. I Plan on adding some red legs as well but want to make sure these survive before buying the red legs.

little tank is looking great! I thought I'd open up the thread despite the fact that you're a steeler fan :) j/k - I see you mentioned some soft coral - any other thoughts on live stock? Were you thinking of adding a pistol shrimp with the goby? If I ever had a small tank, I would definitely have sexy shrimp.
