Looking good, I only see one major flaw, you need a huge clam in the background of the center!

Maybe a Derasa in the middle/back? I was thinking about adding something back there so you could feel the depth of the tank.

Tank is looking great man. Once those corals fill in it'll be a thing of beauty. Love the scape as well.

Played with the scape a little. The rock structure on the left side now has a large cave/passage way going all the way through. I think it helps show how deep the tank in.

How do you like that skimmer? Where did you pick it up from? I like deep tanks myself. Any new pictures of the sump? Really nice and clean.

The skimmer is amazing. It's made by Avast marine. I'll get an updated shot of the sump tonight.

Thanks!

Very cool setup/build !

What are you using to clean the inside of the acrylic?

I use two things.

First i use a magfloat rated for a 120gallon system. However the acrylic is 1" thick so I added some magnets buy cutting the back off on the felted side. It doesn't hold very strongly to the other side so it's good from quick algae wipes. I also take the side that is in the inside of the tank and clean it every time before use. I made the mistake of not doing that and put few scratches in the acrylic.

I also use a long scrapper that just has a plastic blade on the end like a credit card to take the hard stuff off.

Thanks! Very interesting, I may have to build one of those myself for an upcoming build.

Here are a few updated shots of the tank. I have been adding more SPS than anything else. I'm also very happy to report that the Moorish Idol is still eating everything and putting on some weight. I've had him 31 days and he is looking better every day.

Jeff (NAGA) is cutting me two strips of the same black acrylic used to trim the tank. I'm going to use the strips to hide the water line at the top of the tank and another strip to hide the starboard/sand at the bottom.

Other changes I would like to make is to add 2 blue ReefBright LED strips on either side of the ATI fixture. It will give me more of the blue look that I enjoy. I can also just run LEDs at night without the annoying fans so I can actually hear the TV and not wake the kids up.
