We’ve had this fluval light on our tank for the life of the tank (almost a year) and just within the last week our zoas and palys have started stretching and cupping! The lighting is programmed and consistent so what could cause it? Do the fluval leds go bad? And once they stretch if they get the light they need will they shrink again?

We put our ****** light on it and they’re still stretching. Could it be anything else?
What light and what settings ?
Flow could be but likely lighting.

My guess is the light is losing intensity and they need more. LEDs do diminish over time as all light sources do. I am no expert on LEDs, but I know they will fade.

Water quality, flow, or a temp change can also cause stretching. Basically just means they are unhappy for any one of a number of possible reasons.
